The European Federation of Sports Medicine Associations (EFSMA) is an international association committed to the promotion and development of Sports Medicine at European level.

EFSMA was founded in Portugal in 1998 and, even if young, its reputation has grown impressively, having proved, during these years, at all levels, its reliability and its determination in spreading and sharing fundamental principles as motivation, performance and all the health aspects of people engaged in sport and physical activity.

At the moment EFSMA counts 41 members among European Federations of Sports Medicine and other related Associations, brought together by the common belief that only through sport it is possible to express, maintain and improve not only physical fitness and performance, but even mental well-being, creating also social relationships and preventing different diseases.
